We had the most fantastic day yesterday with Marc learning to fly fish. Everything was perfect. The location (Albury) is easy to find, good parking and the setting was beautiful, peaceful and very well kept. Marc was an excellent tutor who got us up and running very quickly and patiently dealt with our early-learning mistakes. The morning flew by and we are all keen to do more fishing and I will be asking Marc for his help again. A solid 10/10 experience.

Marc was an absolute delight and provided myself and my son with a fun filled 3 hours of tuition. Excellent half day tuition - patient and thorough he got me fly fishing competently again after decades away from the sport. My wife and I for a birthday treat recently had a 3 hour fly fishing lesson with Marc. We had never fished before, never mind fly fishing. Marc was patient understanding and shared his expertise, the result being we landed 3 beautiful trout!
It was a fun morning in picturesque surroundings, good facilities nearby and we would highly recommend the experience.

Had a fantastic lesson with Marc at Albury fisheries. I had never fly fished before but Marc was a brilliant teacher and I’d highly recommend anyone interested in fly fishing to book in a lesson with him.

He has been incredibly helpful and has followed up with a lot of great information to help get me started with fly fishing.

I even managed to come away with a fish on my first time!

We had an excellent day in late Feb in Syon Park with Marc. He was a great instructor for two of us, the perfect combination of good, focused advice and letting us get on with it and learn from mistakes. Would 100% recommend for anyone interested in trying it out. He was a lovely bloke too for good measure.

Just spent sometime today with Marc for my fly fishing lesson.
Marc is extremely knowledgeable and has a great way of explaining what to do and how to fish with a fly rod. I will be going back again in the future and will definetly be booking with Marc.

A day that we’ll remember fondly for a very long time. We took a fly fishing lesson at Albury Estate, guided by Marc. Albury Estate is a peaceful and beautiful setting with a cabin serving hot drinks and snacks. Marc’s extensive knowledge of fishing was evident as he guided us through the lesson. We started the day as novices and Marc’s excellent tutoring got us to being able to catch fish in just a few hours. Marc was patient and attentive throughout the lesson. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to try fly fishing in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

An amazing lesson… I had a 3 hour lesson with Marc, who took me through different casts with different flys explaining how techniques change depending on what water you are in and what tackle you are using. Then over a cup of coffee, showed me different flys and explained the life cycle of the May Fly, which was fascinating. I learnt so much in a short time, and gave me enough to feel as though I can give it a go on my own. Thanks Marc.

Had a great introduction session with Marc today, very nice and friendly. Learnt some roll cast and overhead cast, my friend caught a decent 2.5 lb rainbow trout at the end of the session. Definatly recomand!

I was a beginner and had a great morning of instruction from Marc. He explained things carefully and clearly, covering what I felt were all the key topics including the equipment, casting technique, environmental factors and knot tying. He followed up with an email giving me links to additional resources (apps & videos). He is a very experienced fisherman and I'm sure he could teach those that have some experience, but as a beginner I would whole heartedly recommend him and I may well be.back for some more advanced instruction. I really enjoyed my morning. Thank you Marc!

I had the pleasure of spending a morning under the Tuition of Marc O'Regan. My intention was for Marc to iron out my bad habits that I had picked up in my cast.
Marc took me back to basics, and saw where my faults were.

Marc was an absolute pleasure to work with. Prior to the trip, he provided lots of reading material and photos/videos to demonstrate the rich history of the River Avon. He bent over backwards to accommodate me coming from the states and made the journey as easy as possible for an American visiting England for the first time. While on the water, Marc was able to introduce me to new techniques and is truly a master of his craft, seamlessly teaching you about the history of fly fishing while also helping you learn new techniques. As a lifelong fly fisherman, I still learned new things from Marc that I will take back with me. Most importantly, Marc put me on so many fish, it was truly a day I will never forget! I'm very much looking forward to my next trip with Marc...

Marc the owner, said he had a colleague available to fish. I then paid for trip online, purchased fishing licensees and then he canceled on us! He stated he would give a refund minus the transaction fee. I requested full refund for the trip and to refund for $17 for 2 fishing licenses that were purchased due to his error. No response from Marc…. Lost $60 due to his booking error and not a happy fisherman!

My 13-year-old son recently had the opportunity to receive fly fishing training at a pond near our area. The trainer was experienced and provided him with guidance on the basics of fly fishing techniques, including casting and reeling. It was a hands-on experience that allowed him to practice his skills in a natural environment. Overall, it was a valuable training session that prepared him for future fly-fishing adventures. This was a great experience. My teacher Terry was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, he phoned me two days before the lesson to understand what I wanted from the lesson, which was really useful. The three hour lesson was superb, he is a great teacher and at the end I understood the principles of casting the fly for trout very well.
I definitely recommend this company, and also the venue at Albury was excellent.

My 13 year old son and I had a great time with Marc learning to fly fish. The setting was lovely and his expertise was amazing. He took plenty of time to explain everything to us carefully and we learnt a lot. We got 4 fish on the hook and landed 2. It is only 30 mins from central London so is great daytime execursion. I highly recommend it.

We Fly Fish - Marc - We had our day hosted with Marc from 'We Fly Fish' and had a fantastic time. I know very little about fishing and a total beginner at Fly Fishing, my other half knew a bit but wanted to know more hence booking the day as a Birthday gift. I'm glad we did. Marc was fantastic, amazingly friendly, welcoming and easy to talk to. He had great knowledge and enthusiasm. He gave us everything we needed for the session and all in lovely condition. There was a toilet and cafe nearby which was great when we stopped off for a coffee break and pastry refresh. The area we fished was beautiful and fish very healthy. I'd certainly reccomend this as an experience. Do bring clothing suitable for the weather. An absolutely excellent day with a friendly and talented guy. Marc thank you for your time with us we really appreciated it and had a fantastic time with our new knowledge of Fly Fishing the right way. Thank you.

My 16 year old son had an excellent, very wet and muddy, lesson with Marc. His ability to inform on small tweaks to make the perfect cast showed his skill of teaching. In no time at all during lesson one it was like he'd been fly fishing for a long period of time. Along with being good company and full of extra information I couldn't recommend Marc highly enough. I've just received a brilliant 3 hours stillwater tuition with Marc at Albury. I been trout fishing for several months but it was becoming obvious that I needed advice and instruction on my technique when casting if I was to improve. A great day learning new skills with Marc who was extremely knowledgable and a great coach. After four hours guidance with Marc I went from total beginner to feeling confident enough to start fishing on my own and staring my fly fishing journey. My lesson was at the Vale End (Albury Estate) and the team there were super welcoming too and have been ever since. I highly recommend a lesson with the We Fly Fish team and I look forward to when I'm good enough to start fishing more advanced rivers with them on an intermediate course.
